Interesting facts regarding ALPEN AIR flights

We have 3 different flight routes in our program. The flight time is 45 minutes, 1:15 hours or 1:45 hours. For your entire ALPEN AIR sightseeing flight experience, you should allow an additional 30 minutes before and 15 minutes after the flight. If you wish to charter the aircraft exclusively, we will also be happy to arrange an individual flight according to your wishes. Please contact our ALPEN AIR team, who will be happy to provide you with an offer.

We kindly ask you to arrive at the ALPEN AIR check-in at Augsburg Airport 30 minutes before the time of departure.

Of course, we also offer individual flight routes, which we plan entirely according to your wishes.

For this, please contact our ALPEN AIR team, who will be happy to advise you.

For our sightseeing flights we use the latest generation Cessna T206H.

This ultra-modern aircraft is characterized by the highest safety standards. The technical equipment, which is normally only found in commercial aircraft, goes far beyond the prescribed requirements. For example, the aircraft is equipped with collision and ground proximity warning systems and is certified for instrument flight.

It has 4 comfortable passenger seats with ample legroom. With us there are only window seats! Every passenger has large windows to enjoy Bavaria's best view to the fullest.

Depending on availability, the co-pilot seat can also be booked for an additional charge. You may then take a seat next to the pilot in the cockpit and experience your ALPEN AIR flight particularly up close.

You can book our sightseeing flights from 289,- EUR. Detailed information on prices and flight routes can be found here.

We always fly when the weather permits a safe and pleasant sightseeing flight with a good view. You can find the current flight offer and availability here.

If you are pregnant or have physical/mental limitations, please contact us before booking. Our team will be happy to advise you and try to make the flight possible, safety permitting. The final decision on safe transportation rests with the pilot. Basically, shallow climb and descent flights are performed to keep the pressure changes as low as possible. On the sightseeing flight over Munich and the Fünfseenland, a flight altitude of 1,500 meters (5.000 feet) above sea level is not exceeded. On the two longer sightseeing flights, during which the Alps are passed, the flight altitude averages around 2,000 meters (6.000 feet), but in the area of Mount Zugspitze it briefly reaches 3,250 meters (10.000 feet) above sea level.

Yes, our sightseeing flights take place all year round. They are recommended at any time of year. Winter in particular has a very special charm, as the snow-covered Alps offer an impressive panorama.

Our Cessna T206H is of course pleasantly tempered so that you can enjoy the comfort of a modern aircraft at any time of year.

No, we only fly in good flying weather. We want to offer you not only the highest possible flight safety, but also the best possible view and a pleasant flying experience. We do not fly in adverse weather conditions such as poor visibility, thunderstorms and severe turbulence. If a sightseeing flight cannot take place, we will contact you at the latest the day before your planned flight and look for an alternative with you. On the day of the flight itself, the pilot will make the final decision as to whether the flight can be made safely. If a flight is postponed, your ticket or voucher will of course remain valid. A booked ticket can be cancelled free of charge in the event of a postponement, and the ticket price will be refunded to you in full.

We perform the ALPEN AIR sightseeing flights at about 260 km/h (160 mph). This corresponds to around 75% of the maximum available power of our modern aircraft. This means that we not only fly slowly enough to show you the highlights such as Neuschwanstein Castle, Mount Zugspitze or the Allianz Arena at your leisure, but also fly particularly economically, as the fuel consumption of our Cessna T206H is optimal at this performance.

During our ALPEN AIR sightseeing flights we keep all legal minimum distances. Our permit from the aviation authority allows us to fly at around 600 meters (2.000 feet) above the sights such as Allianz Arena, Nymphenburg Castle and Neuschwanstein or Mount Zugspitze. Depending on weather conditions and traffic density, the flight altitude may vary, but from our usual flight altitudes you will always have an excellent view, so unforgettable memories are guaranteed.

Safety

Safety is our number one priority.

Our Cessna T206H is a state-of-the-art aircraft of the latest generation and fulfils the highest safety standards, which go far beyond the legal requirements. Like commercial aircraft, for example, it is equipped with an anti-collision system and a ground proximity warning device. Although we only fly in good visibility on our flights, our aircraft is also certified for flying in bad weather under instrument flight conditions.

As a commercial airline, we, like all airlines, are subject to very strict inspection by the aviation authorities. Our entire flight operations, all flight procedures, the qualifications, training, flight duty and rest periods of our pilots and the maintenance operations of our aircraft are approved by the authorities and constantly monitored.

It goes without saying that only experienced commercial pilots fly with us. Before each departure, they carefully check that the aircraft is in perfect condition and that the weather conditions permit a safe flight.

So you can sit back, relax and just enjoy the beautiful view - with confidence.

As a licensed aviation company, we employ only experienced professional pilots whom we have carefully selected and trained. Every six months, in addition to a thorough medical examination, each of our pilots undergoes a prescribed aviation review program, during which they must demonstrate their skills in normal operations and in emergency situations. At the same time, we offer our pilots proper employment conditions and good working conditions, so that you can rely not only on competent pilots, but also on satisfied ones.

Only through strict selection, extensive training and continuous testing of pilots, combined with uncompromising demands on the technical reliability of the aircraft, is safety in commercial aviation higher than in any other mode of transport. Often especially the drive home from the airport is more dangerous, because you might still be dreaming of your unforgettable sightseeing flight with ALPEN AIR.

All our passengers are insured beyond the legal requirements. Details can be found in our AGB.
