Short description of Oktoberfest sightseeing flight
A perfect flight to get to know Bavaria’s sights. You will see the famous Zugspitze and the fairytale royal castle of Neuschwanstein. In addition, the Allianz Arena, home of FC Bayern, awaits you from above. Finally, the Theresienwiese, where the world-famous Oktoberfest takes place, completes this unforgettable experience, all in a short time during the Oktoberfest season.
Our Oktoberfest sightseeing flight lets you experience the full diversity of the Bavarian Alpine foothills. The Allianz Arena and the Theresienwiese, countless beautiful lakes, spectacular Alpine peaks, and Neuschwanstein Castle create an itinerary full of highlights. As a result, time will fly by at your window seat, and at the same time, the memories will stay with you forever.
Our transfer will pick you up in Munich city center and take you to Augsburg Airport. We then fly at a slow speed over the Allianz Arena of FC Bayern Munich, which is particularly worth seeing from the air. Afterwards, you will enjoy a view of Nymphenburg Palace, the architecturally unique Olympic Stadium, and finally the 291-meter-high Olympic Tower.
During this Oktoberfest sightseeing flight, you’ll enjoy unique views of Munich and its surroundings. In fact, seeing them from above offers a completely new perspective.
Next, we fly along the Würmtal valley to Lake Starnberg, where the Alps already appear in the background if visibility allows. Soon after, we cross the picturesque Bavarian Alpine foothills, where crystal-clear lakes sparkle below. First, we admire the Osterseen lakes, which often glow in magnificent colors. Shortly afterwards, we catch sight of the Riegsee and Staffelsee lakes before we reach the northern edge of the Alps.
From then on, highlights await us every minute. First comes Lake Kochelsee, followed by the emerald-green Walchensee with the Herzogsstand on one side and the rugged Benediktenwand on the other. Soon after, we pass Mittenwald, offering impressive views of the massive Karwendel mountains, and then continue toward Schloss Elmau. A short while later, we reach Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where even from the air the ski jumps are clearly visible. Meanwhile, the imposing Zugspitze – Germany’s highest mountain at 2,962 meters – towers majestically in front of us. As we fly past, the summit feels close enough to touch. Finally, the deep blue Eibsee flashes below at the foot of the Zugspitze, adding the perfect ending to this stretch.
Heading northwest, the Ammergau Alps pass beneath us, and we see the idyllic Plansee lake in the middle of the mountains. While we are still captivated by the breathtaking Alpine views, the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle suddenly lies at our feet. Impressively enthroned against the mountain backdrop and above Lake Forggensee, it offers one of the most stunning sights of the entire flight.
Oktoberfest sightseeing flights like this one combine the festive spirit of Munich with the natural beauty of Bavaria – all from a spectacular aerial perspective. We then follow the Lech for a short distance and pass Hohenpeißenberg. Having previously admired Lake Starnberg from the air, we now show you the most beautiful views of the rest of the Fünfseenland region as a worthy finale. You will see the Andechs Monastery, which sits majestically on the “Holy Mountain”, the mighty Ammersee, the dreamy Pilsensee, and the Caribbean-turquoise Wörthsee at their best.
By the time we land safely in Augsburg, time will once again have flown by. With unforgettable images in your luggage, you will be reluctant to disembark from our comfortable plane, full of emotions. However, your transfer to Munich is already waiting for you. Therefore, Oktoberfest sightseeing has never been this breathtaking!
